- Intense burning pain
- Long red welts
- Nausea
- Difficulty breathing in severe cases

- Leave the water
- Remove tentacles with a stick or gloved hand
- Rinse with seawater
- Hot water immersion (45°C) for pain
- Seek medical care if severe
